How long will my case take?

The length of each case varies and depends on many factors.

One driving factor is the length of your medical treatment for injuries sustained in the collision. Generally, negotiations with the insurance company cannot begin until the patient has completed medical treatment.

Once you have completed treatment, your pertinent medical records, bills, and other documentation necessary to substantiate your claim needs to be collected.

At this point, the attorney will prepare the demand package and evaluate the claim. Then, negotiations can begin with the insurance company.

If a settlement is reached through negotiations, your case may be finalized soon thereafter. If a settlement is not reached, a lawsuit may need to be filed, which would take additional time.

Based on these factors, your case could take anywhere from several months to a year or more to finalize - it really depends on your particular situation and circumstances.
